Throwing Women under the Budget
On this week’s Equal Pay Day we honored the ingenuity and hard work of every American woman, and recognized how much more women must do to ensure they earn what they deserve. Every year, women have to work more than 3 extra months in order to take home the same amount a man earned last year. However, once again, Senate Republicans this week voted to reject the core American value of equality. By halting progress on the Paycheck Fairness Act, they halted progress for businesses, consumers, and our economy, and undermined the notion that everyone deserves an honest day’s pay for a full day’s work, regardless of gender.
If you are so concerned about
"the core American value of equality",
why don't you demons reduce unemployment rather than increasing it. df
We know that when women succeed, America succeeds. Unfortunately, Republican Budget Chairman Paul Ryan’s latest budget ignores this simple truth – it is a recipe for recession that disproportionately harms America’s women. Instead of working to ensure that every woman is afforded the opportunities to reach her full potential, their latest plan balances the budget on the backs of women and cuts back on some of the historic progresses we have made.
I would say that YOU DEMONS have the
"recipe for recession";
we are in a "depression",
something that you and the
Obama adminstration have caused.
Ryan's budget does NOT harm women,
or any other part of society.
His budget does not touch Medicare or
Social Security except to improve it.
YES the plan calls for CHANGES, but
it is for the better.
His plan calls for using a voucher system,
which will earn a much better return,
than the government's plan.
The age increase
to 67 for SS makes perfect sense;
people are living longer,
and working longer today.
It does not effect those
who are already in the plan,
only those who are under 65 now.
Chairman Ryan’s budget would:
Repeal Protections and Benefits Millions of Women Enjoy Under ACA. Insurance companies would once again be allowed to treat being a woman as a “pre-existing condition”, forcing women to pay more than men for the same health coverage. More than 47 million women would have to pay out-of-pocket for lifesaving preventive health care services, like mammograms and cervical cancer screenings. Millions more women and their families would be stripped of the private Marketplace health plans and the expanded Medicaid coverage they have obtained under the Affordable Care Act.
How can you possibly say, that there are
ANY benefits to the "ACA".
It is a disaster, as
even some of your demons know;
they call it a "train wreck", as
the Republicans have always known.
Women do NOT pay more than men for "health coverage" unless you take into account that women have more needs to use the insurance.
Surely by now, Pelosi, you have read Obamacare
( I can't even call it the Affordable Care Act)!
IF you have read it you would know, that
it is already GREATLY INCREASING the costs of health care, and
worse yet there are
hidden provisions in the plan,
that are horrendous.
One example would be forcing our citizens,
to have a RFID surgically installed.
This chip will allow big brother
to monitor every facet of our lives!
Good luck with than one;
WE THE PEOPLE will never allow that!
And how about requiring
all doctors to get the same pay,
no matter what their education level!
A foot doctor will get the same wages as a brain surgeon!

Undermine Women’s Economic Security. The Ryan budget cuts Food Stamps by $137 billion over the next 10 years, which would be devastating for millions of America’s women, who make up 62 percent of adult Food Stamp recipients. At least 200,000 women and children would be dropped from the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), if the GOP’s 15 percent cut in non-defense appropriations in 2016 was applied across-the-board.

SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ON
FOOD STAMPS.
Your programs simply do NOT work!
Ryan's plan will lessen unemployment, so
people will not NEED food stamps,
or "the Special Supplemental
Nutrition Program
for Women, infants, and children (WIC)"!
It is just another failed government program.
WHY do demons ALWAYS want to
spend more and more money with government programs, instead of reducing spending to "constitutional levels"?
When that is done,
we will pay our full national debt
this year (2014).
The 15 % cut you mentioned is a trifle of what NEEDS to be "cut in non-defense appropriations".
What we NEED is to
increase our military,
after you and Obama have
reduced it to very dangerous levels.
Because of you,
we are weaker than we have ever been
since before WW II!
Ryan's budget will
pay off the total debt ($17 trillion)
in less than two years,
without touching foreign aid!
Foreign aid is now $10 trillion per year.)
(Obama has increased the national debt by $7 trillion, more than all of the previous presidents
PUT TOGETHER!
The biggest cuts,
even bigger than the foreign aid,
will come from
outdated government programs, and
areas of total waste.
Think of a bridge that goes nowhere, or
the waste of our natural resources, when you demons would "rather pay high prices" to our "enemies" than to use our own coal, oil, and gas.
We used to think our energy resources were running out; now we know,
we have more oil than the Arabs.
Punish Women Seniors and Cut Health Benefits to Give Tax Breaks to Millionaires. The budget would increase senior women’s prescription drug costs by re-opening the Medicare coverage gap, or "donut hole”, closed by Democrats in 2010 under the Affordable Care Act. As a result, seniors in the ‘donut hole’ will be forced to pay an additional $18,000 on average for their Rx drugs over 10 years. With women making up nearly 70 percent of Medicaid’s adult beneficiaries, the $732 billion cut to Medicaid over 10 years or by nearly 25 percent in 2024 would disproportionately affect women.
Those "tax breaks for Millionaires" is
the RIGHT THING TO DO, because
they are paying WAY to much now,
sometimes as much as 80 + %, and
they are the ones who provide the jobs.
While the donut hole
has been partially closed by Obamacare,
ALL seniors, not just women, are already finding out, that
their total out-of-pocket is much greater!
Is that HELPING them?
The Ryan budget fails women on all measures – it fails to call for equal pay for equal work; it fails to call for increasing the minimum wage; and it fails to respect women’s health and economic security. Democrats have a better budget approach - one that will create jobs, strengthen the middle class, invest in our infrastructure and our children’s education, close the opportunity gap, and responsibly reduce the deficit. American women deserve a budget that will help them achieve the economic security that our country needs and they so rightfully deserve.
All of the items that you mentioned are
the WRONG thing to do!
We would be much better off,
if we would just make
opportunities available, which
we would be doing if the government would bow out!
As for women's health,
I take it to mean that you are pushing for abortions,
to be paid by the people,
who are totally against it.
If your approach is so much better,
WHY haven't you
increased the number of jobs
across the board?
The middle class is nearly dead,
and getting worse under you and Obama.
Our infrastructure
is worse than it has ever been.
Bridges are falling down.
At one of the locations Obama had the balls
to tell the people that these will be
rebuilt SOON; then
he turns around and
hires a Chinese firm to do the work!

Our children in public schools are doing worse,

No Excuse
The Senate took a responsible step forward this week – passing a bill in a bipartisan manner to restore emergency unemployment insurance. Now, it is time for the House to follow suit, and for House Republicans to drop their steadfast opposition to the unemployment insurance extension.
Again I must say, we will NOT need "emergency unemployment insurance"
if we put them back to work.
It is interesting that you demons
always say Republicans are
blocking legislation, when
in fact, it is YOU who are the obstructionists.

He would rather just
write another executive order,
to change the law to his likings, and
leaving you in congress

These Americans worked hard, played by the rules, and lost their jobs through no fault of their own. As they seek new work, they’ve lost an essential lifeline to help them endure the crisis of unemployment, to ensure they can pay the bills, cover the mortgage, put food on the table, and make ends meet. As long as unemployment insurance is not renewed, our economy will lose jobs, and consumers and businesses will suffer.

IF the unemployed were working,

Democrats have offered our colleagues across the aisle multiple opportunities to do the right thing and restore unemployment insurance. We have put forward a petition to demand a vote on this measure immediately. But Republicans still say ‘no.’ With the Senate’s approval of this measure, there is no excuse for inaction. It’s long past time to renew unemployment insurance.

I don’t know if you've heard, but today Republicans in the House of Representatives passed a budget that would gut Medicare benefits for our seniors, hurt our hardworking families, and stunt our nation’s economic growth. Unfortunately, it’s not the first time they've tried this
Ryan's budget does NOT "gut" Medicare. Ryan has said in his budget that SS recipients will have their plan CHANGED, NOT gutted. It is changed for the better through the use of vouchers, which will earn far more than the Medicare funded program. "It will NOT stunt our nations economic growth." Yes the REPUBS have "tried" this before, because it is the right thing to do.
You demons just won't go along with it.
You are the obstructionists.
If you have read his budget, you would know, that
Ryan is reducing the costs of government
in many many ways, but
NOT in Medicare or any other benefit of the people!
He is increasing our military, because we are the weakest, we have ever been
since before WW II;
this is due to Obama!
Ryan has not touched the foreign aid, even though
it is $10 trillion of unnessary cost.
If we cut that alone,
we could pay our ENTIRE debt off in less than two years,
even with Obama's increase of $7 trillion;
on top of that, he projects a

Under the so-called “Ryan Plan,” Medicare would be turned into a voucher system, leaving our seniors with higher out-of-pocket costs and diminished access to care. It would raise the Medicare eligibility age to 67, threatening the financial security and health of Arkansas seniors who have earned these benefits through a lifetime of hard work. But that’s not all. It would also slash funding for vital services like long-term care and home-health services and reopen the Medicare Part D donut hole, causing our seniors to pay more for prescription drugs. We need a balanced approach. Not a proposal that balances the budget on the backs of our seniors.
It will NOT leave our citizens with "higher out-of pocket costs and diminished access to care".
There is nothing at all wrong with raising the eligibility to 67. People are dying older and working longer.
It does NOT effect anyone who is in the system now,
only those under 65.
As for "higher out-of-pocket costs" your program will do just the opposite.
